Galilee Missionary Baptist Church
Welcome to the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church (GMBC)
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to The Meeting Place, where our vision is Connecting People to Christ in Love…
“This is a place where everybody is somebody and Christ is the main attraction; a place where a friend will meet a friend and a sinner is bound to meet God.”
The GMBC family feels honored to serve you, and our prayer is that you would feel a part of this fellowship as we move forward in the things of God.
We are here with open arms, a loving heart, and a giving spirit. If you are without a church home or seeking salvation, please know that our doors and our hearts are always open to you. Today, any day, anytime…just come!
Our service times are Sundays at 11:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM.

The Meeting Place
We are a local church in Ennis, Texas pastored by Booker T. Washington, Jr. GMBC represents a church that is not restricted by geographical location or sociological background and is without measure in God's possibilities. It also represents a church where anyone is welcome.
But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.

We Believe
We believe in God
We believe that there is only one God, who is the ultimate reality and Creator of all. He is an intelligent, permanent, unshakable, and limitless spirit. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus
We believe that Jesus, Lord Christ, is our savior and the incarnate reality of God. He is the symbol of God's love for mankind, embodying grace and dying on the cross for our redemption. He came back to life on Easter morning to prove to the world that God is still in control of heaven and earth.
We believe in Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is Christ empowering us, enlivening the church, and reminding us that God is still with us. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, leads us to truth, and directs us to righteousness.
We believe in Church
We believe in the church, which is the prolonged incarnate reality of Christ. The word and the sacraments are witnesses to His body, bride, and building. The church is a fellowship of revitalized believers who are called out to live together as a community.
We believe in Scripture
We believe that the scripture is the word of God and serves as written authority for the Church. Inerrant and infallible, it was given to ordinary men through inspiration.
We believe in Humanity
We believe that we were created in the image of God. He breathed his life into us, who rebelled and became imperfect and separated from God. Consequently, we are all sinners. Man can only experience the peace of God once again by redeeming himself through his only hope, Jesus Christ.
We believe in Salvation
We believe in the saving grace of God. We believe that salvation is free to all through the gospels and that thankful, penitent, and obedient faith is the only way to acceptance. We believe a sinner’s disbelief in God and refusal of the gospels are the only things that interfere with his salvation and condemn him.
We believe in Justification
We believe that justification is in a right relationship with God, in which His position is accomplished without considering works of righteousness. We believe that our sins are pardoned by justification. God shows his love for us through the gift of eternal life. The righteousness of God is given to us through faith in the redeeming power of Christ.
We believe in Baptism
We believe baptism is God's renewal of our lives. In baptism, we are placed under the authority of God's power and protection in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and our names are changed. Baptism is the symbol of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection and is the way to the privileges of the church in relation to the Lord's supper. Jesus Christ established bread and wine as the imperishable symbols of the church. The Lord's table is open to everyone who desire to join Him.
We believe in Virgin Mary
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus by Mary, who conceived him by the Holy Spirit. He is therefore without sin. He was born of a virgin, unlike any man before or after him. He is both God the Son and the Son of God.
